YOUR NEUROFEEDBACK JOURNEY: A Progressive Pathway to Regulation
At Exusia Therapeutics, the initial 10-session series provides the foundation for this process. From there, additional sessions may be recommended according to your individual response, goals, history, and progress.
Sessions 1-5: Foundation & Initial Regulation
The nervous system begins learning a new pattern.
During the first several sessions, neurofeedback introduces the brain to more efficient patterns of regulation and communication. Early changes may include calming, improved sleep or energy, greater mental clarity, reduced reactivity, or improved focus. Some changes are subtle at first; early improvement does not necessarily mean the new patterns are fully established.
Sessions 6-10: Building & Reinforcing New Patterns
The brain begins strengthening what it has learned.
The focus moves from introducing regulation toward reinforcing it. Clients may notice more consistency between sessions, greater resilience under stress, improved emotional flexibility, sustained attention, and less tendency to return immediately to previous patterns of dysregulation.
Ten sessions represent a strong therapeutic foundation - not necessarily the completion of the neurofeedback process.
Sessions 11-15: Integration & Resilience
New patterns are practiced under the demands of everyday life.
Continued neurofeedback can help the nervous system integrate changes more deeply, strengthen neurological flexibility, improve recovery after stress, and reinforce improvements in daily life.
Sessions 16-20: Stabilization & Consolidation
The goal becomes making healthier regulation increasingly familiar and self-sustaining.
Later sessions may help consolidate earlier gains, improve the ability to maintain regulation during challenges, and determine whether sessions can begin to be spaced farther apart. This stage is often less about dramatic new changes and more about helping the nervous system hold what it has learned.
